1. What these terms cover
These terms govern the use of MCP Personal (the “app”), a personal software tool operated by Justin Carter of Reylix Inc., Ontario, Canada.
Scope limitation. These terms apply only to the app. They do not govern Reylix Inc.’s consulting services or client engagements, which are covered by separate written agreements, and they create no rights in respect of those services.
2. The app is personal and single-user
The app is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — a build of the open-source google_workspace_mcp project — that runs locally on the operator’s own MacBook under macOS.
It exists for one purpose: to let the operator’s AI assistant act on the operator’s own Google Workspace data at his instruction.
The app is not offered to the public. It is not sold, licensed, distributed, hosted, or made available as a service. It has no users other than its operator, no sign-up, and no means by which any other person could use it. Nothing on this page constitutes an offer to supply the app to anyone.
3. No licence granted
No licence, right or interest in the app is granted to any reader of this page. The underlying open-source project is available separately under its own licence from its own authors; this page is not a distribution of that project and grants nothing in respect of it.
4. Acceptable use
Because the operator is the sole user, acceptable use is a matter of the operator’s own conduct. The operator undertakes to use the app only:
- On Google accounts he owns or is authorised to access;
- In accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements;
- In accordance with Google’s Terms of Service and the Google Workspace Acceptable Use Policy; and
- In accordance with applicable law.
The app is not used to access any third party’s account, to circumvent any access control, or to gather data at scale.
5. Third-party services
The app depends on services operated by others, and use of the app is subject to their terms:
- Google LLC — supplies the Workspace APIs the app calls. Governed by Google’s Terms of Service and the applicable API terms.
- Anthropic, PBC — supplies the AI assistant. Content retrieved from Google is transmitted to Anthropic to generate responses, as described in the Privacy Policy. Governed by Anthropic’s terms.
Neither Google nor Anthropic endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with this app or with Reylix Inc.
6. Data handling
How the app handles Google user data — including local token storage, on-demand retrieval, the transmission of retrieved content to Anthropic, and the Google Limited Use disclosure — is set out in full in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. No availability commitment
The app runs on a personal laptop and only while the operator chooses to run it. There is no uptime commitment, no support obligation, no service level, and no undertaking that the app will continue to exist. It may be changed, suspended or permanently discontinued at any time without notice.
8. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
No representation is made that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce accurate output. AI-generated output may be incorrect and is not relied upon without review.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Reylix Inc. and Justin Carter accept no liability to any third party arising from the app, its operation, or its output, including any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or any loss of data, profits or business.
As the app is not supplied to anyone, no third party relies on it and no duty in respect of it is owed to any third party.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when that happens.
